About the Artist

Jennifer Whitehead is an oil painter based in Maryland whose work brings quiet attention to the things we live with every day — a vase of cut stems, a favorite mug in morning light, a beloved pet curled on the sofa. Working in oil on canvas, she specializes in still life, pet portraits, and the lush detail of plants and leaves.

Jennifer first discovered painting in high school and spent years taking classes to develop her craft. Life took her to Seattle, where she started a family — raising two children, Brooks and Vivian, alongside two goldendoodles, Winnie and Charlie. After moving back to Maryland, she fell back in love with painting and, for the first time, felt ready to share her work with the world.

With over fifteen years of painting behind her, Jennifer combines formal training with years of independent practice. She has also run pop-up art classes for kids and has more workshops in the works — stay tuned.
